[C]enterpoint Project: Selda (The Shoot)

At Mt. Sabrina
It was a long first day. We had our first set (band set) at Mt. Sabrina at 2pm. We we’re looking for an area that’s kind of “deserty” so we picked Sabrina as recommended by Avery (drummer). The place was awesome and perfect for the set. It was really hot but it was great for the scene. Sir Edwin Po and the rest of the ProAudio people went in to set the equipments up, while the boys set themselves for the shoot, then Direk Heintje Fernadez of Royale Iris Studio Productions rolled the camera for the MV. We had several takes that took us 4 hours in the middle of the desert under the sweltering sun. Everyone was doing their parts remarkably and we are blessed for having them under that sun.

Soon after we were done, we packed things up, paid some bills, had a little chat with the owner Ms. Sol Mananquil and went straight to ECA cold storage for the second band set. Too bad, our camera batteries got drained right before we finished the Mt. Sabrina Set. The storage is perfect for the concept that we’ve always wanted for the song. The cold mist, the fog and the dark enclosure was really cool. You should see Densho inside that freezing room. Few minutes after getting there, the Royale Iris and the ProAudio pipz began setting up the lights and band set, and roll we went. It was meanly freezing in there, especially when you’ve been under the sun hours before getting in. It was a great experience for everybody. After 3 hours, the set was finally over. So we packed things up went straight to dinner, and straight home.

The next day was easier; we had a Prison, room and plain open space set. The prison and room set was mainly for Densho. It was great and fit to the song, since we wanna depict a message of getting off something that’s really oppressing. The open space is a low angle round about shots basically for me, Dean and Keith and it was really nice. Well, it’s RISP, as always. The third day was all about finishing the shots and polishing takes by Direk Heintje.

We are really excited about this and we are hoping for the best. We want to inspire millions and I hope that they do.

[C]enterpoint Project: Selda

[C]enterpoint will soon be releasing the music video of the song “Loob ng Selda”. We’ve done several MVs in the past like; Whoa Gensan and Paraiso Verde which are really great vidz and great experience too. We had so much fun taping those vidz with Sir Orman Manansala, Royale Iris Studio Productions and the rest of the guys. But "Project: Selda" is different because this video will soon be passed to MYX and MTV.

The song is about the selda (prison cell) in and outside a person. [C]enterpoint did the concept of the video and boss Heintje Fernandez of Royale Iris Studio Productions will be the MV’s set and photography director. We will also be using Pro Audio’s sound system. The MV will be taken in different spots here in General Santos City. We are really excited and are hoping for the best in this MV. By this, we would like to tell everyone that these things are really possible especially for the Generals. In the near future, more bands will rise up. Bands that can be so much better than what we are today. We will be very glad when that day comes. As of the moment, we hope to inspire you guys with the things that we are doing.

Watch out for the updates, MV docyu and the official MV.

Meanwhile, you guys can listen to some of our demos here..

I will surely update you guys.
So nice to be back.
To Everyone, thank you in advance.
Love you all.

LOVE

This is a small post about how I see love, and my ideals about how it ought to be. Of course I’m still pushing myself so hard towards complementing my ideals because I know I am still way too far from reaching it. But continually I get to learn, and it is fun. My first blog post, this topic may sound awkward for a rock band member, but again, this is my conviction. So here it goes…

How do you want to be loved? Do you have fantasies of that perfect someone loving you the way you wanted it to be? Lavishing you with attention, affection and understanding that you have always wanted. It could be a wonderful moment together, walking hand in hand being in a wonderful place where everything seems to be in perfection of where they ought to be. A world for both of you.

This is our subliminal view about love. We believe that our relationships will be better if the other party would do their part. We think that a fairy tale is within reach, but first he or she must turn into that prince or princess that he/she ought to be. Some would say, “I hope he/she would be sensitive enough for what I feel” Or “I hope his/her mind was wider” then this relationship would be beautiful. Well that is right; the other party needs to do its part. But for a relationship to thrive, each has to do their part, both of you have a perfectly equal responsibility.

Now for a moment, let’s set them aside and dig deeper into our very own selves. Let’s hollow out deeper into how a relationship should be in our part of accountability. Have you asked yourself, “How do I want to love?” or “How do I become the best somebody for that someone?” We might have been expecting too much for the things we ought to have when the things we ought to be giving are not conferred well. I have bumped into some relationship issues lately, relationships that were torn apart. It’s sad to see people getting hurt but I believe that’s part of it. Weakness is certain to everyone. We all have some things that we need to surmount in our lives. Stuff that we wished we did not have. Or awful things that we didn’t even know we have. I’m telling you this, for sure both of you have those terrible bits and pieces. It’s just that most of the time we can clearly see the specks in somebody’s eyes but we fail to see the same crumbs that are covering our very own eyes.

So, I believe that the best thing to do is begin thinking about the adjustment you need to make for your relationship. You will see, as you develop yourself into a better person, the other party will begin to notice, and would probably start out to be better too. But the focus is YOU FIRST, and the fine-tuning that you must do. The best thing that could happen to people in a relationship is not the thrill, not the bliss, not even the pleasure. It is the growth of personhood and the escalation of maturity. When you become a better person in your relationship, you are gaining more than what you have expected. You are yielding something that cannot be taken away from you, character. Character is a moral-fiber that paves the way for respect and integrity. Do your best to develop that character and you will be doing a great favor to yourself and to your partner. I hope this made sense to you. Give your best to be that someone you ought to be.
